If you receive an email with an offer to update your EU Business Register listing, feel free to file it under Trash. A free offer may be hard to resist, even if it is for a overseas business registry you've never heard of, but a closer look reveals this "free" listing is another in a long line of email solicitations designed to mislead business owners. The fine print reads "I hereby order a subscription with the service provider EU Business Services, Ltd 'EU Business Register'. I will have an insertion into its database for three years. The price per year is Euro 995. The subscription will be automatically extended every year for another year, unless specific written notice is received..."
Much like the classic domain renewal invoice scam from Domain Registry of America, this latest solicitation targeted at domain owners should be ignored.
