The following instructions will guide you through the step-by-step process of adding a secure email account to Mail in OSX Yosemite (10.10). 

Account Settings

  • Account type: IMAP
  • Incoming mail server: mail.invisibleink.com
  • Outgoing mail server: mail.invisibleink.com
  • Username: you@yourdomain.com (full email address, all lowercase)

Step 1 » If this is your first time setting up an account in Mail, choose "Add Other Mail Account" from the setup menu and click Continue. If you already use Mail, click "Add Account" from the File menu.

Step 2 » Enter your name, email address and password, then click "Create".

Step 3 » Mail will attempt to configure your account. When you receive the message "Account must be manually configured", click Next

Step 4 » Enter your Incoming server settings. Substitute username and password with your own account information. Click "Next" to proceed.

Step 6 » From the Accounts tab in Mail Preferences, modify your Mailbox Behaviors so that Drafts, sent, Junk and Trash messages are not stored on the server. Click on the General tab to save changes.
